Sharon Gaudin from InformationWeek comments on the Enterprise 2.0 conference in Boston: Enterprise 2.0--Changing Corporate Culture Before Changing The Tech

CoreMedia's way to emphazise more on changing the corporate culture than introducing new technology was well received by most if not all of the people I met. However, it seems to be still an exception. But why?

Probably it's because changing cultures is so much harder than introducing another fancy software tool.

This is real hard work, demanding leadership and persistence, which are not equally distributed amongst people.

So even when they nod and agree, most of the times it's only face value. Getting them to act (like e.g. arguing for enterprise 2.0 concepts of any kind in their organization) is by no way ensured.
